I started doing studio work as a result of seeing an Edward Weston photograph in a gallery in New Mexico.  It was exceptionally beautiful. I came home and discovered I had the same kind of shell on a shelf in my office that my wife and kids had given me years before.  I took it upstairs and started shooting against a grey or black background...and took literally hundreds and hundreds. These are a few examples.
